My Story

For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to make things.

As a child I can always remember working with clay, drawing,

painting, sewing....my Dad called me "the busy bee".

Growing up, we were lucky to live in so many interesting places, starting with New Orleans, where I was born. Growing up, we appreciated art and music all the time, it was just woven into everything we did, and now I get to pass it on to my family.

Most of what I have learned has come about by experience, every job has it's own set of problem solving and that is part of the fun of it! From architectural rulers, to power tools.......computer programs to digital drawing......continued growing is what I find so necessary. Of course my training at the Herron School of Art was just terrific, learning as much as I could. I had committed to growing artistically. Usually about once a year I will spend several days in a painting workshop, I think it's important to keep learning.

.

My sincere hope is to make positive contributions that have long lasting effects. Another aspiration I have is to be instrumental in preserving a sense of pride in one’s self, and inspiring people to follow after their passions and talents in life.

I am certainly thankful to God for all His wonderful gifts and for the way He works within us.
