Kelly Drew Baskett is based out of the Arts and Design District of Carmel, Indiana. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was raised in many interesting parts of of the United States. Her family has a rich and colorful history, where appreciating art and music was always alive. This offered a colorful palette for a life in the Arts!
After studying privately with prominent artists and at the Herron School of Art, she has received many prestigious commissions. She was commissioned to design and produce eight large paintings for Eli Lilly & Company. In addition, she has painted for award winning Show Homes throughout the Midwest, Public Schools in Indiana and for a professional NBA player, Al Harrington. Her custom Stained, Etched and Beveled glass designs have been featured on the cover of Indianapolis Monthly. Working in a variety of styles provides flexibility for the best handling of each unique project. Having a flare of understanding people is an asset, and her formal and informal training is called upon in every venture.
Living a life with the celebration of visual excitement, Kelly Baskett provides commercial and residential spaces with an individual design plan. She utilizes a keen sense of color when forming the ideas for her murals, mural vignettes, paintings and finishes. After assessing her clients goals, she continues to problem solve, focusing on details until the job objectives are achieved. Her work exudes a sense of pride.
With a contagious enthusiasm to contribute visually and in the written form, she makes herself available for consultations and the involvement of her talents, which are many. She hopes to make positive contributions that have long lasting effects on those who experience her art. Another aspiration for her is to be instrumental in preserving a sense of pride in one's self, and inspiring people to follow after their passions and talents in life.
